I don't seem to see Shinx here. While one would say that it's a lion, well, it's also a Lynx which is technically a large cat much like lions and the panthera sub-group do.

In real life, snakes and mongooses are biological rivals. They're like the stereotypical Dog/Cat fights going on through the ages. Actually you're wrong, it's called Zangoose for a reason. Mongoose hunt snakes, Serviper and Zangoose are meant to represent that.
